Effect of Endurance Training on Long-Term Stroke Survivors

Background: Stroke is one of the leading causes dependency and mortality in India. Chronic stroke defined as 6 months to years from time onset. Structural impairment which occurs lead complex nature functional limitations. High blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, vessel diseases, obesity are a few risk factors that can cause stroke. Once patient goes into chronic phase, wide range problems mobility, gait, Quality Life may occur. Majority times survives their remaining life with these disabilities. The survival rate decreases an increase time. Only 1% survive 20 after Physiotherapy has shown positive effect on outcomes acute Its efficacy should be tried survivors. Method: 36 subjects were included per inclusion exclusion criteria. treatment protocol was given for 42 days. Pre post-changes analyzed modified Barthel index stroke-specific scale. Result: Data using student’s t-test. Findings showed significant change outcome measures interns mobility quality. Conclusion: Endurance training improves standard living
